Editorial Temps + Finals.

Some full-blown 3D postvis temps using low-res hero geometry supplied by ILM with rough digital matte projections were created to rapidly turn around representations of large, complex vfx shots for editorial so that they had a working guide to cut to.

This was crucial because final shots were not dropped into the timeline for months. These early temps also proved informative to ILM because the key composition and timing beats were already signed off by editorial.

Additionally, several sequences of final shots were taken from ILM's slate for scheduling and budgetary reasons. They were able to be finished much more cost effectively than if ingested into ILM's full pipeline.
